My Spotify Playlists

INTRO

Recently I’ve found that I haven't had much time to spend of my personal writing and although that is true, I have so many ideas for pieces I’d like to write about. This post is dedicated to one of my most treasured personal “belongings”, my Spotify playlists. If you know me personally, you’d know how much I treasure my playlists and my Spotify aesthetic in general. I have a playlist for just about all my moods and feelings. Every playlist caters to a certain type of audience and if you’ve never been exposed to a less mediocre genre of music, let me help you explore something different.

The following shares the playlists that I listen to most, have the most followers, and the ones I believe are “must listens”.

CAR CANDY

CAR CANDY is a playlist composed of modern and the latest R&B/Rap music. Here you’ll find a set of tracks by artists such as Drake, Gucci Mane, A$AP Rocky, Playboi Carti, Lil Uzi Vert, Migos, Cardi B, Famous Dex, NAV, Boogie Wit da Hoodie, Trippie Redd, Lil Yachty, Kodak Black, and so on. This is the perfect pre game and car music playlist for those who like generic modern rap. Although mediocre, it’s a great choice for “pump up” uplifting aux music.

CHILL

This is another popular playlist that is updated once a week. It is composed of more “chill” and lowkey artists such as Oh Wonder, Khalid, Ta-Ku, Flume, Russ, Childish Gambino, Frank Ocean, Post Malone, Jhene Aiko, The Weeknd, Billie Eilish, and so on. This is the perfect white noise, chill playlist for hanging out with friends in your room or studying throughout the week.

VIBE CALI

This was one of my first playlists and maybe the biggest crowd pleaser. This playlist is composed of many different house artists and DJ’s including Ta-Ku, KAASI, ODESZA, Kygo, Flume, Petit Biscuit, Disclosure, TroyBoi, and many more. This is the perfect travelling playlist or playlist for spending the day in the sun.

LET’S MAKE OUT (VOL.INDIE)

Another very popular playlist targeted for when things are getting heated in the evening between two people. This playlist is strictly Indie music that suit that vibe. The playlist is composed of music by Cigarettes After Sex, Daniel Caesar, Russ, Sabrina Claudio, Alina Baraz, and so on. For those who are looking for a similar playlist, there is an R&B/Rap version to this playlist titled, RIGHT NOW (RnB).

CINEMATIC UNDERTONE

This playlist maybe one of my most played playlist by me. It is based on music that I would incorporate in my own “Soundtrack to my Life” and songs found in several independent films. There is an exceptionally large variety of genres and artists that have been added to this playlist.

MUSIC CANDY

Another playlist I used to listen to a lot during the summer. This playlist is mostly good mood, happy, upbeat, indie and alternative music. This playlist contains a number fun upbeat artists such as Grouplove, Cage the Elephant, Beach House, Grizzly Bear, Tame Impala, BrockHampton, Arctic Monkeys, MGMT, Mac Demarco and many others.

CAMERA IN MY HAND

Another exciting upbeat and fun type playlist that I typically use when shooting portraits. A supersaturated gung-ho playlist with artists such as Kali Uchis, BrockHampton, NxWorries, Anderson Paak, Kanye West, Rihanna, KAYTRANADA, The Weekend, Mac Miller, Childish Gambino, Steve Lacy, and many others.

DAY2DAYSHIT

Another great upbeat choice of a playlist, although it has more R&B songs, it is very comparable to “CAMERA IN MY HAND”. With artists like Drake, BrockHampton, MF DOOM, Steve Lacy, Tyler the Creator, Frank Ocean, Kanye West, Foggieraw, Jaden Smith, and so on.

Let me tell you, a playlist. This playlist is by far my most played. With all my favorite indie alternative artists like Tame Impala, Gus Dapperton, HOMESHAKE, BrockHampton, Alvvays, Tyler The Creator, Frank Ocean, Mac Demarco, Toro y Moi, Sufjan Stevens, SALES, MGMT, The Smiths, Rex Orange County, Beach House, King Krule, and many of my favorite artists.
